Toyota recently issued multiple recalls. This recall impacts approximately 145,000 vehicles, raising serious safety concerns. For the 2024 Toyota Grand Highlander, which has an airbag issue where the second-row center seat airbag might not deploy correctly, there have been no accidents reported. Toyota is recalling approximately 8,300 vehicles to address this issue. Additionally, Toyota has recalled about 11,000 units of the 2024 Lexus RX and 2024-2025 Lexus NX models due to head restraints that can be removed without pressing the release button, potentially increasing the risk of injury during an accident.
Kia has also taken significant action by recalling 462,869 Telluride vehicles from model years 2020-2024. The recall addresses a fire risk associated with the front power seat motor, which can overheat due to a stuck power seat slide knob. Until repairs are completed, Kia has advised owners to park these vehicles outside and away from other structures to prevent potential fires.
Regarding the Kia Telluride, which has been recalled due to a potential fire risk caused by a loose electrical connection, there have also been no reported incidents or injuries. The recall affects about 19,000 vehicles, and Kia is proactively addressing the issue .
Adding to these concerns, Ford has recalled over 552,000 F-150 trucks from the 2024 model year due to a potential loss of steering control, a critical safety issue that could lead to severe accidents. This recall related to a possible steering loss due to a factory mix-up involving incorrect fasteners, Ford has confirmed that no accidents or injuries have been reported. This recall affects a small batch of around 385 vehicles, but still gives concerns as to why over 552,000 have been recalled!
